Discover the spirit of aviation

Based at Atlanta Speedway Airport (HMP), Speedway Flight Training was created in 2017 by three airline pilots to promote affordable general aviation flying. Initially motivated by their children's needs and a few friends interested in flying, the club has quickly grown to over 60 pilots with over 4,000 flight hours and five airplanes.

Our core philosophy has always been to minimize risk and promote safety. Through our Continuous Improvement Program, our aircraft are constantly maintained and upgraded as needed.

Several Speedway pilots are experienced CFIs and offer private, instrument, and commercial flight training to other pilots.

Our instructors come from a variety of professional aviation backgrounds. Their caring commitment to your aviation needs and deep understanding of the subject material will help you learn to be a safe and competent pilot at your required pace.
